When out for sushi my beverage of choice is usually saki or non alcoholic ginger ale. This time I thought I’d try something completely different and have a large frosty mug of Sapporo. I was very happy with my choice!

Sapporo is the fourth largest city in Japan, but it is also the name of a rice beer brewed by dragons and sumo wrestlers…

No, scratch that. It’s a light, refreshing beer originally brewed in Sapporo Japan, but now in Canada at the Sleeman Brewery in Guelph, Ontario.

It’s got a  light golden colour that goes with the flavour. An excellent highly carbonated sipping beer. Great with sushi!
